How do I get free shipping?

Any order over $100 qualifies for free standard ground shipping in the contiguous 48 states. Any order under $100 is charged a standard $14.99 shipping fee. Please see our Shipping Page for other options.

Is my item in stock?

Most products offered on Tadpole Adaptive are in stock and ready to ship. Our orders ship directly from the manufacturer. Please contact us to check stock status at the manufacturer if you have any hesitation prior to completing your order in the web store.

Will Tadpole Adaptive bill my insurance?

Tadpole Adaptive cannot bill your insurance directly, but we can assist you in collecting documentation your insurance may require. Please see our Resources Page for ways we can help.  

What if I order the wrong size?

We want the equipment to work for your child. We offer a 30 Day Fit Guarantee on all of our items. Many sizing errors can be prevented by following our sizing instructions and speaking with one of our staff members. Toilet and Bath items cannot be returned.

What is your return policy?

We want you to be happy. We offer a 30-Day Fit Guarantee as mentioned above. Different types of equipment have different return policies on Tadpole Adaptive. Some products such as bath and toileting products cannot be returned. Please see our Return Policy page for complete details and instructions.

Where are you located?

Tadpole Adaptive, LLC is operated from San Diego, CA. All customer information, site management, and billing services are handled in San Diego. When you place your order with Tadpole Adaptive, our staff will review it, process the payment, then arrange shipping directly from the manufacturer to your door. If you’re ever in San Diego give us a buzz and we’ll grab a fish taco!

What if I need a spare part?

Many parts and accessories are available from the manufacturer and are not listed individually on Tadpole Adaptive. Please contact us with the Tadpole Adaptive order number, the serial number from the item, the model and size of the item, and description of the part needed. Pictures also help. We will send you a quote for the item with a link to make the purchase.  

Why can’t I find a certain piece of equipment on your site?

While we pride ourselves on the products that we carry on Tadpole Adaptive, we don’t offer everything. If there is something we don’t have, please let us know. There are a few manufacturers who we have expressly decided not to carry. We can explore putting it on our site, or if it is outside the scope of our store, we can help point you in the right direction. Just drop us a line from our Contact Us page.

Something broke. Is it under Warranty?

Please contact us with the serial number and Tadpole Adaptive order number. Each manufacturer has a different warranty period and policy. Please visit our Return Policy page for complete instructions.  

Will I be charged sales tax?

Tadpole Adaptive is a California business. Tadpole Adaptive collects 8.25% sales tax only on items shipped to a California address. Sales tax is not charged to any order shipped outside of California. Some items such as walkers are exempt from California Sales Tax with a physicians prescription. Please see our California Tax Exempt page for further resources.  

Where is my back ordered item?

Many manufacturers of quality pediatric adaptive equipment are located in Europe. These items are shipped to US Distributors and may unfortunately be out of stock at the time of your order. Tadpole Adaptive will alert you of the expected shipping date of your order. Please allow 3-7 business days for the item to be shipped from the distributor to you. If your back order date has passed, please do not hesitate to contact us.  

Do I have to order online?

No. Simply print our Order Form, complete it, and submit it. We can process all forms of payment via phone, fax or mail. We also accept checks and institutional Purchase Orders.  

Can I get a quote for a product?

Sure! Many people simply configure products online, then print the shopping cart page without completing a purchase. If you require something more formal, please download and complete our Order Form and select “Provide Quote”.

Is this product Latex Free?

Most manufacturers in the adaptive equipment industry produce only latex free items. However, please Contact Us regarding any specific product if it is not clearly labeled as latex free in the web store.  

Will my product arrive fully assembled?

The internet has changed the world...... but it can’t change a light bulb. If assembly is not one of your skills, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We can discuss your purchase and walk through the steps. Talk to your child’s therapists as well. There are many PTs and OTs who may be willing to assist with the light assembly and fitting of the product. As with the Bed Systems we sell, we can arrange for assembly and delivery services. This service does not provide fitting or instruction services, simply assembly of the item and placement in the location of your choice. Contact Us for further details.
