How it works
Dadrien was born on October 7th, 2017 via induction. Unfortunately during induction he went into fetal distress and suffered a severe brain injury, he was diagnosed shortly after birth with Hypoxic Iscemic Encephalopathy. At 6 months old he was diagnosed with Spastic Dystonic Quad CP, since all of this was new to us as his parents we didn't know what to expect and what this meant as far as his mobility and cognition. For the first 3 years of his life he received therapies through a state funded program called Early Intervention. He has qualified for some special needs equipment through this program, but unfortunately he only could receive his squiggle seat and stander. He is now 4 and has attended school and receive his gait trainer but he's grown since receiving this equipment (his seat) that has natural wear and tear and loose pieces that readjustments can't fix but he can only get new equipment every so many years. This seat would help him tremendously with his next chapter of growth as he don't qualify for another seat through the state for another few years.
