How it works
We are part of a co-op that services special education for six rural school districts in Minnesota (Chisago Lakes, North Branch, Rush City, Pine City, Hinckley/Finlayson, and East Central). We work with children from birth through 21 years old. Often our students have limited access to medical equipment, and being so far from medical services don't have easy access to clinics to acquire equipment. As an early intervention team, we work with students and families to address their mobility and access needs. We have some older equipment which is often donated from past families, though this equipment is often very used and outdated. We are requesting a Rifton Pacer to meet the needs of our youngest population. We do not have any of these gait trainers, and this would meet a need in our program.
