How it works
Since the birth of our eldest daughter Arabella Rae, she developed the neurological condition Cerebral Palsy Spastic Diplegia due to PVL damage in her brain she was
diagnosed as Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy since she was a few months old, Arabella is unable to sit/stand nor walk without aid.
We recently underwent SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) surgery in the USA, whereby we relied on life savings and loans to cover the cost in traveling all the way from South Africa and temporarily residing in Missouri This is a surgery that is done by world class Cerebral Palsy Neurosurgeon Dr TS Park. at St Louis Children's Hospital in Missouri.
With life after SDR comes intense rehabilitation and therapy where Arabella requires a standing frame with gate assistance to ensure her hips don't worsen, whereby I am pleading for assistance.
We truly want to give her the best chance of walking and being as independent as possible and this surgery is truly life-changing and will give her a better quality of life.
