Ryan and I recently rallied the community to raise funds for a chair for Makayla to access the trails with her family. After the story aired on the news another Mom reached out and has a daughter with very similar needs.
Gracie is an upcoming 6th Grade Student within Clark County School District. She has Cerebral Palsy which resulted in her having limited mobility as well as being non-verbal. Her Mom has told us stories of how they love to travel, hike, and visit parks such as Yellowstone. Gracie's Mom is finding it very difficult to continue since she no longer fits in a wearable backpack and her wheelchair doesn't handle trails well. Gracie is the youngest of 4 sisters and has two younger brothers. She enjoys spending time with her siblings, but loves mommy and Gracie time, as much as she loves being with Grandpa (she will always be Grandpa's baby girl). She absolutely loves theme parks, going on rides, the beach, pool, and camping, and let’s not forget she loves pizza LOL. The way that she is able to communicate with us always amazes me because she is so smart and loving and always has a smile that can light up any room.
