Hello my journey started with Jayron November of 2021. I opened my home for another child with disabilities. Jayyron was sixteen at the time and was using a Posey bed at the children's hospital where he resided. He had lived in the hospital sense he was taken by CPS when he was six. He is medically fragile... he suffered a TBI when he was four months old and from that he suffers from having seizures and has CP. He is also on a J-tube. Jayron can set himself up in the bed but has no safety or spatial awareness. When he came home with us he was sleeping and spending time in a playyard. He has gained weight and it was really a safety issue for him and myself to pick him up from the floor. He is now sleeping in a twin bed that has a railing system the only issue is it is meant for a toddler and within a year we have had to replace them. This bed would give himself safety and us a peace of mind. We love to travel also and it is great that it has that capability. We have filed with medicaid and have gotten denied four times. We also tried DDS in our state and they denied it to because it is a covered bed.
