The Junior, mobile, modular seating system also offers a range of thoracic and hip support pads, which are able to benefit those with a variety of unique diagnoses and meet both simple and complex special postural and positioning needs… for example: various skeletal deformities and scoliosis (bracing). All pads are designed with comfort and hygiene in mind and employ flexible and easy to clean PU finishing.

Posture and functioning improvements and a good seated posture go hand in hand and sound pelvic stability forms a basis of such optimal positioning. The Junior’s contoured seat, with integral memory foam pad, can be tailored to suit the unique special needs of your child or loved one as it firmly holds the tuberosity of the ischium in place, thereby stabilizing the pelvic posture This method of support is found to offer benefits of muscle tone reduction and stability to even the highest toned children. Also on the subject of pelvic posture, the junior’s 4-point lap strap can provide a 45 degree pull, in order to further achieve stability and prevent the child from slipping forwards in to a sacral seating or sideways, resulting in pelvic obliquity.
The Junior also boasts an height and angle adjustable foot plate, offering various levels of support and resting angles for children with diverse special needs, tones, contractures and heights. To ease transfer, the footplate conveniently and easily flips out of the way.
While there is a simple headrest option available for the Jenx Junior, the innovative Jenx Multigrip Headrest offers exceptional support, designed to mimic the comforting stability which would be given by helping hands. Individual, padded fingers can be independently adjusted to cushion, support and control virtually any head and neck positioning. Last but not least, with both carer and special needs user in mind, the Junior system’s pads are designed to flip away smoothly, without removal necessary, enabling quick and painless transfer, whether the user is self transferring, being lifted or being hoisted out. The Junior’s tilt in space feature will further ease transfer, so you and your loved one have that little extra time to make those happy, lasting memories.
