The Mygo 3-Function Stander By Leckey
The Mygo Prone, Supine & Upright Stander has been thoughtfully designed and crafted by adaptive and rehabilitation experts, Leckey for use by special needs children and special needs teens, aged 4 to 14 years, so that they might comfortably and safely reap the many benefits of standing therapy. The Mygo Stander is the next size up from the Squiggles Stander that accommodates children 1-5 years old.
Standing therapy equipment is a must-have for patients who’s orthopaedic situations make it impossible for them to either hold their own weight, balance or keep and upright posture…the Mygo stander can benefit those with up to as much as 25 degree contractures.
It’s the intention and wish of the designers at Leckey, that the end users of this product experience the assisted organ function, bone and joint development, posture correction and interactive improvements that correct standing therapy can afford.
The Leckey Mygo is available in a range of vibrant shades, with the functional black choice optimised for infection control; other colours include blue, pink and orange.
The Mygo stander is available in 2 convenient, overlapping sizes, designed, through extreme adjustability on all fronts, to grow with your special needs child.
Size one is suitable for children aged 4 to 10 years of age, while size 2 will see your loved one through from age 8 to 14 years.
Trunk and head alignment and support during standing therapy contributes to pelvic stability, while enhancing arm and hand function, concentration and social interaction.
The Leckey Mygo offers a contoured and cushioned, wide headrest and the headrest support bracket is compatible with a wide range of optional head rests to cater to specific head support special needs.
Shoulder protraction is provided by contoured shoulder support with wings, designed to increase upper limb and hand control for improved function and development.
The Mygo stander’s ergonomic chest support mirrors the shape of the rib cage, allowing the shoulder girdle to freely protract and retract, improving function during prone standing therapy, while supple, wrap around chest laterals support the upper body with minimum obstruction during prone, supine or upright standing.
The Mygo stander’s activity tray, which is available with a clear insert, under which pictorial charts and learning materials can be safely displayed, can be placed at just the right height to promote independence and upper limb control during play, art and learning activities.
A central and neutral pelvic position is achieved and maintained by the Mygo’s pelvic derotation belt, with a gluteal prompt to provide a proprioceptive feeling of security for the special needs child.
Furthermore, the Leckey Mygo stander’s flexible hip lateral supports secure and centralise the stander, promoting and maintaining optimal full body alignment.
The Mygo also includes swing-away, split footplates with plantar flexion and dorsi flexion adjustment capacity, as well as individually height and angle adjustable knee supports which, in combination, can accommodate up to 25 degrees of hip, knee and ankle contractures in supine, prone and upright positions.
Last but not least, the stander is made mobile by four, lockable, individual braking swivel castors.
Please be advised that accessories and supports are fully customisable and, therefore, may be sold separately as optional components.

Supine
Supports touch the back. The most supportive configuration best for children who require significant support and/or cannot raise their head against gravity.
The Supine Angle can be changed from 0 degrees upright to 80 degrees horizontal.
|
 |
Upright
Supports generally touch the front of the body and the child is transfered into the stander without a need to change it's position. Usually an upright configuration is used for a child who needs less support and can hold their head up independently for long periods of time without fatiguing.
|
 |
Prone
Supports touch the front of the body. Usually a tray is used. Children have the ability to raise their heads up against gravity but may frequently have their chin on their chest.
