Hi Everyone, I want to share Zachary's story here. Zachary is 32 years old, he was born with hydrancephaly; a condition known to be very rare as in 1 in a million. Zachary is twin B and we lost his brother Landen during birth. Zachary is unable to do anything for himself such as walking, talking, eating, any mobilization at all, so as his mother and caretaker I'm asking for this fundraiser to help get this jogging stroller not only for him to enjoy, but for us as a family to share precious memories together.
I would very much like to take Zachary on walks and rides on the nickel plate trail located here in north east Indiana. We live only about 1/2 mile from this trail that spans 44 miles. Getting this stroller would benefit Zachary in so many ways of feeling included, and getting out in nature which is really all life is all about. At this time Zachary stays home while one of us, his dad or myself gets to go for a walk or riding our bike alone wishing we could all go as a family and enjoy what time we may have with Zachary. Zachary has already gone way beyond the doctors life expectancy of 1 year. We sure would love to make some lasting together memories and see the smile on his face as we are all together enjoying these activities.
The fundraiser would give us something we are unable to provide at this time since only Zachary's dad works while I stay home to provide care for Zachary. Thank you so much for considering our story to help us with this amazing gift we could give to our son as well to ourselves to be together as a family enjoying & doing an activity we know Zachary would love.
